Melita Shelton McGee
May 1, 1956 - June 14, 2018



Melita Shelton McGee age 62 went to dance on the streets of gold with Jesus on June 14th at 12:20 AM with family present. Melita was a Mother of 3 and an adopted Mother of many more. She always worked hard to provide for her family and eventually earned her nursing degree. She worked in Labor and Delivery for about 18 years before being diagnosed with Multiple Myloma which, is a rare blood cancer. During this same stage in life she found her ever after in sickness and health with Dean McGee of Porter, TX. They were married in 2011. Dean was there to support her to the very end.

Preceding her in death were her parents Tommy Lee Shelton, Sr. and Paula Blackburn Lovett.

Melita is survived by her husband, Dean McGee; Sisters Tonnia Carr and husband, David; Jeanette Rousseau and husband, Steve; Brother Tommy Lee Shelton, Jr. and wife, Bonnie; Daughters Michelle Lowrey and husband, Michael; Melissa Smart and husband, James; April Gosnell and husband, Carl; Son Edward Carnine and wife, Melissa; Jason McGee and wife, Kristi and many Nieces, Nephews and Grands.

Melita truly lived out her motto in life "Live Simply.. Laugh Often.. and Love Deeply."

There will be a reception to follow burial at 6pm Tuesday June, 19 at Edward's home in Montgomery, Texas
