Betty Rudel

Betty Jean Edwards Rudel, was 71 when she passed away on May 21, 2026. It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Jean Edwards Rudel, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a cherished friend whose kindness and loving spirit touched countless lives. Betty was born in Fort Worth to Ivan and Helen Edwards. She was raised in Colleyville, TX where she attended her hometown Baptist church playing the piano and singing in her church choir. She was preceded in death by both her parents Ivan and Helen Edwards. Betty’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving and dedicated mother to Rachel, Sherri, and Ryan, and a proud Nana to Jess, Alyssa, Desarae, and Emily. She was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Haisley, Chloe, and Oliver, each of whom brought much joy to her life. Betty always made her family feel special, supported, and deeply loved. Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and memories that will be treasured forever. For decades, Betty operated an in-home daycare in Tomball, lovingly caring for and helping raise generations of children in the community. To many families, she became far more than a caregiver — she became part of their family. Her nurturing heart, patience, and gentle guidance left a lasting impact on so many lives. Betty also treasured the lifelong friendships she made through Mary Kay. She especially loved giving makeup and thoughtful gifts to her daughters and grandchildren for birthdays and holidays, finding happiness in making those she loved feel beautiful and celebrated. She will be remembered for her generous heart, caring nature, and the unconditional love she gave so freely to everyone around her. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished, the children she nurtured, and the many lives she touched throughout the years.
